Gonneke Warnars Dutch
For me, painting is an intuitive quest for new forms...
Gonneke Warnars graduated from Wackers Academie in 2024. She works with oil pastels and mainly paints landscapes.
Her works are about texture, composition, colour planes and their directions, reflections of light and reflections in water... She is in a continuous intuitive quest for new forms, which to a greater or lesser extent deviate from reality. In her work, Gonneke looks for a stillness; the evocation of a magical atmosphere - she loves sagas, legends and myths from different books and films.
Many artists inspire her artistic expression: including painters of the Nabis, especially Serusier and Felix Vallotton, Matisse, the Group of Seven, and especially Thom Thomson, Wim Oepts, Alex Katz, the Dutch Rein Dool, and David Hockney...
