My paintings are based on sketches, photos and audio obtained while living and working in parts of Africa. These mediums I use, together with my feelings and memory, to visually translate my positive experiences with different local communities. In the series 'Fragments of my experiences' I reflect on my time with the Fulani people of the remote Boé region (West Africa), in particular on the peace, serenity and connection I felt within their communities.
